New Book “Heart Selling” Elevates the Financial Advisory Profession with Experiences and Strategies from Top Advisors

Tim Editor, 29/09/202529/09/2025

Authored by five top financial practitioners and guided by industry veteran and Chief Editor Benjamin Ang, the book offers powerful insights on client service and elevating professional standards — showing financial advisors how to succeed with heart.

Close to 200 financial advisors, agency leaders, and corporate leaders gathered in Singapore on 26 September 2025 for the official launch of “Heart Selling: Unveiling the Closing Secrets of COT and TOT Advisors”, a groundbreaking book that blends authentic personal journeys with proven strategies to inspire the next generation of financial practitioners to succeed and serve with heart. The event was graced by Ms. Wong Sze Keed, CEO of AIA Singapore, together with members of the leadership team.

Stories Behind the Success

While many in the industry celebrate top achievers for their MDRT®, Court of the Table (COT), and Top of the Table (TOT) milestones, Heart Selling reveals the lesser-known struggles behind those achievements. The five co-authors — Dr. Winnie Cheah, Wen Zilong, Seah Roh Ting, Tommy Khoe, and France Zaguirre — openly share their setbacks, lessons, and breakthroughs.

Chief Editor Benjamin Ang, who has served the financial services industry for over 20 years, said: “This book is not just about success stories. It is about perseverance, resilience, and the belief that our industry grows stronger when top practitioners share their journeys openly. Heart Selling is a collective gift to the profession, and my hope is that it will raise standards and inspire advisors to keep serving with heart.”

Representing the co-authors, Dr. Winnie Cheah added: “We wanted to show that behind every award and recognition are years of discipline, rejection, and growth. By sharing our experiences and the strategies that worked for us, we hope to encourage fellow advisors to keep believing in their potential and to serve from the heart.”

Heart Selling goes beyond inspiration. The book distills practical strategies and sales ideas that practitioners can immediately apply, from client servicing practices to referral generation, prospecting methods, and building long-term trust.
