The Malaysian CIO Network (MCION) will host the 4th Penang CXO Summit from 30 September to 2 October 2026. Under the theme “Trust by Design in the Age of AI: Securing the Intelligent Enterprise & Customer Experience,” the invitation-only event will bring together 90–120 senior CXOs & Senior IT executives to discuss AI, cybersecurity, quantum readiness, customer experience, cloud & AI driven data center infrastructure, hyperscalers, and AI infrastructure ecosystem.

Penang, Malaysia — 13th August 2026 — The Malaysian CIO Network (MCION), part of the regional XCION CXO community, today announced that its 4th Penang CXO Summit will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2026.

Under the overarching theme “Trust by Design in the Age of AI –Securing the Intelligent Enterprise & Customer Experience,” the invitation-only summit will bring together CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, technology leaders and senior IT executives to explore how organizations can accelerate AI adoption while building trust, security, resilience and superior customer experiences.

As AI moves rapidly from experimentation into core enterprise operations, organizations are facing a new set of challenges — from securing AI systems and data to building the infrastructure required to scale AI, while ensuring that customer experience remains at the center of digital transformation.

The MCION Penang CXO Summit will focus on four key pillars:

1. AI, Cybersecurity & Quantum Readiness
Exploring the convergence of AI and cybersecurity, securing AI-driven enterprises, emerging threats and opportunities, and preparing organizations for the impact of quantum computing and post-quantum security.

2. Customer Experience & Intelligent Engagement
Examining how AI, data and digital technologies are reshaping customer journeys, personalisation, engagement and the next generation of customer experience.

3. Cloud & AI-Driven Data Centres
Looking at the infrastructure required to support AI at scale, including modern cloud architectures, AI-ready data center, high-performance computing and enterprise infrastructure.

4. Hyperscalers & the AI Infrastructure Ecosystem
Understanding how hyperscalers and technology platforms are enabling enterprises to build, deploy and scale AI capabilities, while balancing performance, cost, security and governance.

A Curated CXO and Senior IT Leadership Gathering

Positioned as a by-invitation-only CXO and senior IT executive summit, the event is expected to bring together approximately 90–120 participants, including senior technology decision-makers, supporting organizations, strategic partners and sponsors.

Rather than a conventional technology conference, the MCION Penang Summit is designed around closed-door conversations, executive networking, thought leadership, panel discussions, fireside conversations and business-matching round-tables.

The summit will provide a platform for technology leaders to exchange practical experiences, discuss emerging challenges and explore strategic partnerships around AI, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, customer experience and digital transformation.

Building Trust in the Intelligent Enterprise

The theme “Trust by Design in the Age of AI” reflects a fundamental shift in the role of technology leadership. As enterprises become increasingly AI-driven, trust can no longer be treated as an after thought. Security, governance, resilience and customer confidence must increasingly be embedded into the design of AI-powered businesses from the outset.

The MCION Penang CXO Summit aims to create a focused environment where regional technology leaders can explore these issues together — and identify the technologies, strategies and partnerships needed to build the next generation of trusted intelligent enterprises.
