Jakarta, Indonesia – Indonesia is set to take a leading role in the global carbon capture and storage (CCS) movement by hosting the International & Indonesia CCS Forum (IICCS Forum 2025) on 7–8 October 2025 at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta. With the theme “Advancing Indonesia as a CCS Hub Leader in the Asia Pacific: Achieving Net Zero and Economic Growth”, the forum will bring together top government officials, global energy leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss CCS as a key solution to achieving net-zero targets and driving sustainable economic development.

This prestigious forum will feature high-profile speakers, including:

– Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM, Republic of Indonesia

– Eddy Soeparno, Vice Chairman of Commission VII, House of Representatives (DPR RI)

– Mari Elka Pangestu, Vice Chairman, National Economic Council (DEN)

– Hiroshi Okabe, Counselor, Energy Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan

– Keith Tan, Deputy Secretary (Industry) Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), Singapore

– Oki Muraza, Deputy President Director, PT Pertamina (Persero)

– Egon van der Hoeven, Vice President CCS Business Development, ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions

– Ariel Flores, SVP Subsurface, bp

Alongside global experts from organizations such as the Global CCS Institute, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Baker Botts, Rystad Energy, and many more.

Supported by Indonesia CCS Center (ICCSC) , the forum aims to position Indonesia as a regional hub for CCS initiatives, bridging public-private collaboration, advancing regulatory frameworks, and showcasing investment opportunities in decarbonization technologies.

“CCS is not only a solution to climate change but also a driver for Indonesia’s sustainable economic growth. This forum demonstrates our readiness to lead the Asia Pacific region in CCS development,” said Arsjad Rasjid, Executive Chairman of Indonesia CCS Center.

The event will also feature panel discussions, keynote sessions, and networking opportunities with key stakeholders across the energy and industrial sectors.
