ASUENE Presents Japan-Thailand Decarbonization Partnership at Government-Led Energy Dialogue, Showcasing Progress with Banpu NEXT

Tim Editor, 25/07/202525/07/2025

ASUENE Inc. participated in the 7th Japan-Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue, co-hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, held on July 15, 2025, in Pattaya, Thailand. Building on its partnership with local clean energy leader Banpu NEXT, ASUENE shared progress in their collaborative efforts toward realizing a decarbonized society in Thailand.

About the 7th Japan–Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue

The Japan–Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue, co-hosted by Japan’s METI and Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, is an annual official dialogue between the two governments. Aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation through policy discussions on decarbonization and energy transition, the dialogue features not only intergovernmental exchanges but also showcases initiatives from the private sector. The 7th dialogue covered a wide range of topics including the latest energy policy trends, hydrogen and ammonia, renewable energy, energy efficiency, EV/HEV and battery, and financing through public–private collaboration.

ASUENE–Banpu NEXT Partnership Introduction

In January 2025, ASUENE signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Banpu NEXT, a subsidiary of Banpu, a leading Net Zero Solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region, to promote decarbonized management practices across Thailand. At the 7th Japan–Thailand Energy Policy Dialogue, this partnership was introduced as a representative example of private-sector collaboration, highlighting both the scope of the initiative and its future direction.

ASUENE, ASUENE’s cloud-based platform, is Asia’s leading carbon accounting solution for GHG measurement, reduction, and reporting. Through this partnership, the two companies are enhancing collaboration to accelerate net-zero efforts by expanding the adoption of GHG tracking across the business sector.

Moving forward, ASUENE will continue working with Banpu NEXT to build a practical business collaboration model in the decarbonization field between Japan and Thailand, contributing to the realization of a more sustainable society.

ASUENE Company Profile

ASUENE Inc. is a leading Climate Tech company in Japan with the mission of ”Changing the world for the next generation”. We provide “ASUENE”, a carbon accounting platform to measure, report and reduce carbon emissions of companies and we contribute to the net zero society.
