ASUENE (THAILAND) Co., Ltd., a local subsidiary of ASUENE Inc., has signed a partnership agreement with KCLIMATE 1.5 Company Limited, a subsidiary of KASIKORNBANK, to provide decarbonization solutions in Thailand.
This partnership will allow the two companies to jointly offer comprehensive decarbonization support services, including a carbon accounting platform for measuring, reporting, and reducing GHG emissions, and Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP) calculation. The services will primarily target companies in the manufacturing and construction sectors, contributing to the acceleration of corporate decarbonization efforts in Thailand.

Background

Thailand is a major manufacturing hub in ASEAN, with a large number of manufacturing SMEs serving as key suppliers in global supply chains. Its core industries, including automotive, construction, and chemicals are significant sources of GHG emissions. Leading global partners are increasingly demanding the disclosure and reduction of GHG emissions across entire supply chains. As a result, it is now a critical and urgent issue for Thai companies to address. With the tightening of global regulations including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), calculating and disclosing emissions has become crucial for Thai companies to maintain their export competitiveness.

With over a decade of experience in managing its own carbon footprint and collaborating with experts across various industries, KASIKORNBANK established KCLIMATE 1.5 to develop comprehensive climate solutions. The company continues to enhance its services and seek partnerships to address the evolving and diverse needs of customers, expanding beyond Scope 1 and 2 to include Scope 3 and Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP).

ASUENE has provided one-stop decarbonization solutions to over 30,000 companies in Japan and other parts of Asia, primarily through ASUENE, a carbon accounting platform. This partnership leverages ASUENE’s expertise to meet local demands in Thailand. By combining the strengths of both companies, the partnership will provide a comprehensive solution to help Thai businesses address decarbonization challenges and enhance their international competitiveness.

Partnership Details

Through this collaboration, ASUENE (THAILAND) and KCLIMATE 1.5 will offer a full suite of decarbonization solutions to Thai companies, with a focus on the Electronics, Automotive-related, Packaging, and Food & Beverage industries. Specifically, the partnership will leverage ASUENE’s strengths in its platform, which provides measuring, reporting, and reducing GHG emissions. The partnership will also introduce CFP calculation and supply chain-wide emissions management to help companies comply with international regulations and customer requirements.

KCLIMATE 1.5 brings strong expertise in financial services, combined with deep understanding of Thai businesses and their needs, opportunities, and challenges in decarbonization. Leveraging its local network and the extensive client base of the KCLIMATE 1.5 is uniquely positioned to extend decarbonization services to a wider range of Thai companies. In the future, the collaboration will also integrate a broader set of climate solutions and financial offerings from the KASIKORNBANK Group, linking emissions reduction with economic incentives to drive long-term sustainable growth.

This collaboration will accelerate corporate decarbonization in the Thai market, enabling businesses to grow sustainably and efficiently while strengthening their global competitiveness. By equipping Thai companies to meet both domestic and international regulatory changes, the partnership empowers them to thrive in a low-carbon economy and contributes to building a decarbonized society—paving the way toward achieving the global Net Zero goal.
