MagPro Launches AeroLev 1850 to Advance Water-Smart Cooling for AI Data Centers

MagPro Launches AeroLev 1850 to Advance Water-Smart Cooling for AI Data Centers

Tim Editor, 06/10/2026

MagPro, a joint venture
between CIGU Technology Corp. Ltd. and EPG Data Technology (Shanghai) Co.,
Ltd., today launched AeroLev 1850 at Data Centre World Asia (DCW Asia) 2026
in Singapore
, unveiling a 1.85 MW-class, 45°C-ready air-cooled,
magnetic-bearing chiller platform designed for next-generation AI data centres
operating in high-ambient and water-constrained environments.

The launch comes as
Malaysia continues to see rapid growth in data-centre and AI infrastructure
investment, with resource efficiency becoming an increasingly important
consideration for the sector.

As the country expands its digital infrastructure, the Government has
also placed greater emphasis on ensuring that data-centre developments have
sufficient energy and water resources. The Data Centre Task Force assesses
applications based on factors including power, water and connectivity
requirements, while Malaysia is developing clearer standards around energy,
water and carbon efficiency.

Against this backdrop, AeroLev 1850 is designed to address one of
the key infrastructure challenges facing high-density AI computing: how to
manage increasing heat loads while reducing reliance on water-intensive cooling
systems.

The platform combines a cooling-tower-free
architecture, oil-free magnetic-levitation technology and intelligent controls

to deliver efficient and reliable cooling while eliminating evaporative cooling
water consumption.

At the heart of the
platform is a dedicated air-cooled magnetic-levitation compressor with
isentropic efficiency of up to 87%. A patented condenser delivers subcooling of
more than 3°C, while the standard EC fans further improve energy performance.
Together, these technologies deliver up to 40% higher overall energy efficiency
and up to 8% lower failure rates compared with conventional oil-lubricated
compressors, and up to 10% lower maintenance costs compared with conventional
chillers.

By eliminating evaporative
cooling water, AeroLev 1850 is designed to reduce water dependency for data
centres operating in environments where water availability and resource
efficiency are increasingly important considerations.

The platform is also
engineered for the shift toward direct-to-chip and immersion liquid cooling.
AeroLev 1850 can supply chilled water at temperatures up to 45°C, supporting
emerging high-temperature cooling architectures without requiring major infrastructure
reinvestment.

Its standardized modular
design supports rapid installation and flexible expansion as AI capacity grows.

Designed for Malaysia’s AI Infrastructure
Growth

For Malaysia, where the
rapid expansion of AI and data-centre infrastructure is accompanied by
increasing attention on energy and water efficiency, technologies that can
reduce resource dependency are becoming increasingly relevant to the country’s
digital infrastructure development.

The Malaysian Government has stated that new data-centre projects will
be assessed based on available energy and water supply capacity, while national
and industry stakeholders are placing greater emphasis on sustainable resource
management as the sector expands.

AeroLev 1850 is designed to
support this evolving environment by enabling data-centre operators to manage
increasing cooling requirements without relying on evaporative cooling water.

“As AI computing continues
to drive higher heat density and more demanding cooling requirements,
data-centre operators need cooling solutions that can deliver reliable
performance while using resources more efficiently,” said William Wu,
General Manager of Nanjing CIPU Technology Corp., Ltd.
“AeroLev 1850 is
designed to address these challenges by combining air-cooled
magnetic-levitation technology with a water-efficient architecture, supporting
the next generation of AI data-centre infrastructure.”

“MagPro marks an important
step in our global cooling technology strategy,” said Alick Wan, Founder and
Chairman of EPG Data Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. “By bringing together
EPG’s engineering and delivery expertise with CIGU’s core magnetic-levitation
technology, we are building more resilient, resource-efficient digital
infrastructure that is less dependent on water availability. AeroLev 1850
reflects our commitment to advancing green data-centre infrastructure and a
more sustainable digital ecosystem worldwide.”
